About Me

Hello! My name is Katy Riley, I graduated from East West School of Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon and became LMT within one year of moving to Oregon from Alaska. I love my new home in Portland but am still very much connected to the vast wilderness of Alaska.

As an Alaska Native, I draw from my roots to focus on listening; to the body, the earth and my intuition. Together we will create space for the body to feel relief, relaxation and rejuvenation.

I approach each massage as a request to the nervous system, to slow down, be grounded, restore balance. I incorporate Swedish, Abhyanga, and Thai techniques for a deliciously measured and individual experience.

Chinook definition: warm wind blowing off the sea 🌊 ☀️

In Thai massage, one of the subtle things a practitioner would be aware of is the Wind (energy/ prana.) When wind is blocked it can manifest in many ways such as fatigue, emotional distress, physical discomfort.

The name Dancing Chinook incorporates my playful nature, native roots and understanding that we all have wind that needs freeing through movement in our bodies.
